The Windrem Law Firm provides legal services in the following practice areas:

Real Estate

We represent clients in real estate transactions and disputes. From drafting purchase agreements to supervising the escrow, we assist buyers and sellers and their agents close their deals. We represent property owners in court actions to resolve easement and boundary disputes, and we prosecute actions on behalf of those defrauded in real estate transactions. We also represent owners in disputes over property owned with other co-tenants.

Landlord & Tenant Law

We negotiate and draft residential, commercial and agricultural leases on behalf of clients.  We prosecute and defend eviction actions for landlords and tenants, and we represent owners and tenants of mobilehome parks in issues relating to mobilehome tenancy law.

Small Business Development

We form corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships for start-up enterprises. We provide ongoing advice to small businesses on employment, contract and other issues.

Homeowner Associations

We counsel boards of directors of homeowner associations on the requirements of the Davis-Stirling Act and other laws relating to the performance of their duties. We represent associations and homeowners in actions to enforce the covenants, conditions and restrictions for their subdivisions.

Land Use Planning

We assist clients who seek permits from the County for their development projects. We prepare applications and work with engineers and other professionals. We also appear before the County Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors on behalf of our clients.

Estate Planning, Wills & Trusts

We counsel clients on all aspects of estate planning. We prepare living trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney for financial affairs and advance health care directives. We advise trustees on trust administration procedures. We represent executors for the probate of decedents' estates.

Community Service

Our firm is dedicated to Lake County’s quality of life. All staff are given the flexibility to participate in community projects and activities. Their volunteer participation ranges from political events, the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary to the Lake County Land Trust, and Council for the Clear Lake Hitch. Members of our firm are involved and working on a daily basis to keep Lake County a great place to live and raise a family.
